Launch Your Book With love
Design A Book Launch Plan That Fits You—for Life
Your Best Book Launch Starts Here—Let’s Make It Intentional
Launch Your Book On Your Terms
Hosted by award-winning writer Chelene Knight, Launch Your Book With Love is …
A course for writers who want a more meaningful, intentional, and ease-filled way to bring their book into the world—without sacrificing their well-being.
If you’re a writer who wants your book to do something in the world—to reach people, open conversations, deepen your purpose—but the traditional advice around book launches leaves you overwhelmed or disconnected from your work, you’re not alone.
Why I built this course and where I’m coming from
Maybe you’ve been told you need to chase bestseller lists, rack up media spots, or hustle non-stop just to be seen. Maybe you’ve felt pressure to say yes to opportunities that don’t align, or to show up online in ways that don’t feel true to who you are. And maybe you’ve started to wonder… Is there another way?
There is.
In 2018, I hit a wall. Hard. After years of pouring everything into my writing career, I found myself exhausted—pulled in too many directions by an industry that often felt stuck in outdated ways of launching books. But here’s the thing: The industry wants us to succeed. It just doesn’t always know how to evolve with us.
I’ve written and published five books across five different genres. I’ve worked as a literary agent, where I saw firsthand how the industry often failed to prioritize what writers actually want. I’ve taught at the university level and listened to writers assume their MFA would guarantee them a book deal, only to realize publishing doesn’t work that way. I’ve spoken at festivals, directed a couple myself, and witnessed authors—some thriving, others exhausted—wondering why their book launch felt more like survival than celebration.
And through it all, I’ve seen how so many writers fixate on bestseller lists, awards, and external validation as if those things alone will guarantee longevity in this industry. I’ve made lists. I’ve won awards. And while those things can be wonderful moments of recognition, they don’t give you what you think they will—not in terms of sustaining a long-term, fulfilling writing career. If you don’t build an ecosystem around your work, if you don’t know why you are doing this, the highs will feel fleeting, and the lows will hit even harder.
What I’ve Learned
We have far more control than we think.
For years, I’ve worked with writers at every stage—some with just the seed of an idea, others with polished manuscripts ready to go. And no matter where they are in the process, I’ve seen the same struggles over and over: Writers feeling lost in the noise, chasing strategies that don’t align with who they are, saying yes to opportunities that don’t serve them, and launching their books in ways that leave them drained rather than fulfilled.
That’s why I built Launch Your Book with Love. This course isn’t about frantic, last-minute marketing or throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. It’s about crafting a launch strategy around an ecosystem that feels intentional, sustainable, and true to you—so you can show up with clarity, confidence, and a sense of joy.
Because book sales can and will come, money can flow, but not at the expense of your well-being and heart work. You don’t have to launch your book in a way that drains you. You can build an approach that honors your creativity, energy, and values—while still making an impact.
The industry wants you to succeed. Let’s make sure you do it on your own terms.
Let’s launch with love.
What You’ll Learn
This course is not about rigid formulas or quick-fix marketing tactics. It’s about crafting a launch experience that supports your whole creative self—your values, your energy, your goals, and your inner knowing.
By the end of Launch Your Book with Love, you’ll know how to:
✔️ Build your unique launch ecosystem grounded in what you actually want from your book—and your life.
✔️ Clarify your book’s core purpose so you can confidently communicate its value to the world.
✔️ Identify aligned opportunities (and say no with love to the ones that drain you).
✔️ Create a sustainable visibility plan that works with your energy—not against it.
✔️ Navigate the emotional highs and lows of releasing a book into the world with resilience and care.
✔️ Prepare for the long tail of your book’s life—so you’re not just focused on launch week, but on longevity.
✔️ Reclaim your agency as an author by choosing how and when you show up.
You’ll walk away with a launch strategy you’re proud of—and one that feels like an extension of your creative practice, not a departure from it.

How This Course is Structured
Launch Your Book with Love is designed with flexibility, intention, and nourishment at its core—because I know that every writer’s life, energy, and creative rhythm looks different.
Here’s how it works:
Self-paced with gentle guidance. You’ll move through the course at your own pace, with access to all materials for as long as the course is running. I recommend working through 1–2 modules per week, but the timing is completely up to you.
Multi-format learning. You’ll find a blend of written lessons, short video teachings, and thoughtfully designed worksheets to support both reflection and action.
Build as you go. Around the 3/4 mark, you’ll begin to craft your very own Launch Your Book with Love plan—a launch strategy tailored to your creative values, energy, and goals.
Monthly livestreams. Optional monthly livestreams offer a space for connection, reflection, and live support. Come with questions, share wins, or simply listen and feel inspired.
1:1 support available. Writers are invited to book Creative Support Calls with me at any point throughout the course. I recommend at least one session, though three is the sweet spot for those who want deeper, personalized guidance. You'll be gently reminded throughout the course when it might be a good time to book.
Ongoing encouragement. You’ll receive reminder emails inviting you to check in with your progress, revisit the material, and reflect on your evolving goals. You're never alone in the process.
Whether you move quickly or take your time, this course is designed to grow with you—and to meet you exactly where you are.
Knowing who you are as a writer is your greatest creative advantage.
In my recent interview with Antonio Michael Downing on CBC’s The Next Chapter, we were talking about my book Safekeeping—but the conversation naturally touched on so many themes this course explores: mentorship, professional jealousy, making a living as a writer, and the power of turning inward. In today’s world, where AI can mimic tone, structure, and even generate full pages of writing, the one thing it can’t do is feel. It can’t process your lived experience, your emotional truth, or the layered meaning behind why you write. That’s why the work of self-discovery—of truly knowing who you are as a writer—is more urgent than ever. This course is for writers who want to create from a place of deep clarity, emotional truth, and intention. If you’re ready to uncover what only you can bring to the page, you’re in the right place.

How Do I Know if Launch Your Book with Love is Right for Me?
Here are some common questions writers have before enrolling:
Do I need to have a book deal or be close to launching to take this course?
Nope! You don’t need to be under contract or even finished writing your book to benefit from this course. In fact, the earlier you start thinking about your launch ecosystem, the more intentional and ease-filled your journey can be. This course is just as valuable for proactive writers preparing ahead of time as it is for those in the thick of it.
Is this course only for traditionally published authors?
Not at all. This course is for all writers—whether you're publishing traditionally, independently, or exploring hybrid paths. The core teachings focus on building an aligned, sustainable launch approach that works regardless of your publishing route.
Will I have access to Chelene during the course?
Yes, absolutely. While this is a self-paced course, you’re not on your own. You’ll have the ability to:
✔️ Send me direct messages inside the course platform (I typically reply within 48 hours)
✔️ Join optional monthly livestreams for real-time connection and support
✔️ Book paid 1:1 Creative Support Calls to deepen your learning and personalize your path
What if I fall behind or need to take a break?
No problem at all. The course is intentionally designed to be self-paced. You’ll have access to the materials for as long as the course is running, and I send periodic reminder emails to gently nudge you back when you're ready. You can move through the content in a way that respects your energy and schedule.
Will I be part of a community?
Yes, but with intention. When you join the course, you’ll also gain access to the “Home” space inside the Forever Writers Club—a cozy corner of the larger community where you can connect with other writers, join silent writing lounges, and take part in check-ins and weekly reflections. This is a small, supportive taste of the broader Forever Writers Club.
If you find yourself craving deeper connection, more resources, and ongoing creative support, you can upgrade to full membership in the Forever Writers Club at any time for $49 CAD per month. In fact, there’s a bonus module at the end of the course to help you reflect on whether joining the full community is the right next step for you.
What makes this course different from other launch strategy programs?
This course doesn’t offer a one-size-fits-all formula or pressure you to hustle for attention. Instead, it helps you build an ecosystem around your book that aligns with your why, your capacity, and your heart. You’ll walk away with a custom launch plan that supports your creative practice—not one that pulls you away from it.
The Journal | Safekeeping is a great companion to the course
Safekeeping pairs beautifully with the course, though each serves a unique purpose. While there is some overlap, the journal and the course are distinct in their focus. The journal is ideal for documenting your creative process and experimenting with your ideas. On the other hand, the course is designed to help you build a tangible, actionable implementation plan for what’s possible—while engaging in the supportive energy of a community.
